Marylhurst faculty and staff are proud to announce that tuition rates for 2016-17 will NOT increase and remain the same as our current rates. We understand the financial piece is critical for students. Keeping costs stable was our priority in this year’s tuition planning process so that we can assist our students in the pursuit of their educational goals.

This news was shared across campus on Thursday, Feb. 4. Included with the announcement were helpful resources related to “funding your education,” and we’re including them here as another reminder:

Managing the cost of your education
  • Financial aid – If you are receiving financial aid or are applying for financial aid, this is the key time to complete your forms. Financial aid information is available on our website. Or, check out our “Financial Aid 101” video presented by our Office of Financial Aid.
  • Tuition payment plans – Marylhurst does offer tuition payment plans. Please connect with MU Student Accounts for information.
  • SALT is a free financial advice service: Take advantage of services to help you wisely and effectively manage debt.

Establishing the tuition rate for the upcoming academic year is one of the first steps in the planning process for 2016-17. In the coming months, we’ll also share further information about the annual academic schedule, the three-to-four-credit conversion of our courses, the master academic planning process and the general catalog. Please watch for those messages in your Marylhurst email inbox (access your email at mail.marylhurst.edu).

And of course, we’ll post announcements here in the Academic News blog along with other in-depth or background information. Subscribe to the blog so you don’t miss a post.
