The switch has been flipped. Apps are running amuck, Google+ Communities, private Blogs, uploading dissertations to Google Scholar! There’s a lot you can do, have fun!
When you log into your @marylhurst.edu account, just click on the App icon in the top right corner that looks like a miniature hollywood squares. A drop down menu will reveal Google+ and the Core apps on top, and then a button that says “more.” Click “more” and click “Even more from Google,” to access more apps.
Caution: the first time you click on Google+, you will be prompted to set up a profile. When doing so, do not give a false age. If you give an age under 13, you may be locked out of all your Google apps, including email (which we could fix, but it could take several days).
Keep in mind, we make a clear distinction between Core-Apps, listed in the picture above, and non-Core Apps, like Google+, YouTube, and Blogger. Using Non-Core Apps puts you in a direct relationship with Google. This is very similar to using a personal google account (any account ending with @gmail.com); however, with the Core apps Marylhurst has an extra level of control, support, and privacy compared to non-Core apps. Please read the announcement/form above for more information.
