Mymail migration date set!

9 September 2013

The mymail account migration takes place on September 17th!

From then on, all official Marylhurst email addresses will end with @marylhurst.edu.  Having all staff and faculty within a single unified domain, marylhurst.edu, will make collaboration and communication much easier at Marylhurst.

We will be sending out several reminders over the next two weeks to mymail users, including final instructions on the migration day.  The process is fairly easy.  Former mymail account users will simply access the marylhurst.edu account and ignore the mymail account starting on the 17th. (more…)

New Sharing Options

14 August 2013

As a part of our ongoing Google for All! project, we are excited to announce the addition of new sharing options for Google Docs, Drive, Sites, Calendar.  This will happen on August 20th (next Tuesday).

These new options do NOT change your current  settings–your docs, email, calendars will not be altered.  There will simply be new options. These options allow for the sharing of some information to anyone you choose, including the ability to share your Google docs publicly.  This will make collaboration much easier.

Welcome Announcement

24 July 2013

This is the first announcement of our Google for All! blog.

We will be using this to make periodic announcements about the progress, changes, and features of Google Apps at Marylhurst.  This may include tricks and tips and keeping everyone up-to-date on best practices.

We have two big projects underway.  The first is the migration of the mymail.marylhurst.edu accounts into the marylhurst.edu domain.  This will bring all faculty and staff into a shared domain.  The second project is to add students to that domain.  Google for All! will provide enormous improvements in our ability to find one another, collaborate, and share.

Please continue to check the FAQ page, and subscribe to this blog to received update in your email directly (so you don’t have to check back here all the time).
